Nysiads

The Nysiads or Nysiades (Νυσιάδες) were the nymphs who cared for and taught the infant Dionysus. They included Kallichore and Calyce (after whom the lunar craters Kallichore and Kalyke are named).

In some later tellings of Dionysus's infancy, the Nyiades are confused with the Hyades or the term Nysiades (or Atlantides or Dodonides) is used as a collective term for the Pleiades and the Hyades as Dionysus's tutors.
